Eastland to commence construction
of hotel development

Eastland’s General Manager, Steve Edgerton, confirmed preliminary construction works commenced on July 27 to develop an integrated hotel complex above Eastland’s south-east corner.

“This exciting development is a significant component of our long-term masterplan for Eastland that befits
its status a truly engaging mixed-use urban, lifestyle destination in Melbourne’s east,” Edgerton said.
“The addition of a hotel that integrates with our stunning new development further strengthens our ability to draw people to the region to enjoy everything the new Eastland has to offer.

“Our prime location at the gateway to the Yarra Valley offers the perfect place to take advantage of this significant Melbourne tourist market, and provides guests to the region with an opportunity to access a premium retail and lifestyle experience at Eastland.

“The hotel development will cater for those who want to linger with us for more than a day to enjoy
our bustling Town Square that brings together the best of Melbourne’s epicurean spirit, and more than 350 leading Australian and international fashion and lifestyle brands, as well as world-class art housed
at Eastland. SCN
